Why Do I Teach?

It’s simple, I teach because it can make people happy.

Human beings have many needs. As I’m sure you know, one of them is to belong. A sense of belonging is often linked to our work environment, which is linked to our level of education, which is linked to our position in society and the dedication of us as students and the effectiveness of our teachers.

Achieving my dreams has been possible because of my education and my education was possible because of my teachers.

I want to pay that forward. I want to help others the way I’ve been helped.

The best part of teaching is watching the growth of confidence in my students. They might begin feeling nervous, shy, or frustrated. Then they see they can trust me to guide them, help them, and they relax. As we work through the materials they learn, absorb, and utilize the language. They become stronger, more capable, and happier.

By the end of our sessions they have mastered new skills which can make their lives better and they are much happier because of that. They smile, they laugh, they feel great. Which makes me feel wonderful.
